Delta SierraThe 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee we saved from the junkyard is getting new brakes! The rear brakes are already done, and I removed the 2" lift kit from the rear axle (I hate lift kits; they make a vehicle handle and brake worse and reduce visibility). Next, I get to tackle the front. I have more lift kit components to remove, and I'm upgrading to calipers and rotors from a 03+ Grand Cherokee. This will give better braking performance and reduce the chance of warped rotors. I'll also bleed the brakes and replace the old brake fluid, which should further improve braking performance. Once the brakes and suspension are all fixed, I also need to drop the transmission pan so I can replace the filters and the solenoid block (ugh, I hate automatic transmissions). That will hopefully fix the 2-3 shifting issue and make the vehicle 100% road worthy!
