Apparently a) floor and ceiling operations are not #rust no_std compatible (bizarre!) and b) bevy defines a no_std equivalent for floor but not ceiling. Anyone know why?

One thread at a time, we're untangling our rendering code organization. This time, by preferring the lighter-weight bevy_mesh over the bevy_render crate that depends on it. The way that #rust parallelizes compilation by crate has really far-reaching implications :/ LGTM.
Very happy with this after some feedback-polish cycles. Secure defaults, good docs, escape hatches, sensible plugin-based config. Sweet! While this doesn't actually take advantage of the memory safety of #rust, this sort of secure-by-default design is definitely in line with its philosophy. Merging.

As a proof of concept I am just using a Jitsi meeting where I share the screen and joined with my phone. Works surprisingly well!

Turns out that if you have structured your file handling code correctly from the start, then implementing drag and drop is actually easier than anticipated.

i highly recommend writing a markov chain generator/querier! very fun! some advice: lowercasing and otherwise normalizing your tokens gets you more data “for free,” and project gutenberg's shakespeare (https://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/100/pg100.txt) gives you over five million words to play with
i'm recommending this because i wrote one in #rust and it was very fun.
https://crates.io/crates/bstr made dealing with non-utf-8 fast and easy, and rand's choose_weighted took a painful part out of sampling https://docs.rs/rand/latest/rand/seq/trait.IndexedRandom.html#method.choose_weighted. finally, clap continued to be my default pick for even moderately non-trivial command line parsing https://crates.io/crates/clap

#RetroBoy is a cycle-accurate #GameBoy #emulator written in #Rust. It uses wasm-pack to translate the Rust code into #WebAssembly so it can be played on the web. The web frontend then uses Web Audio API and HTML Canvas for audio and graphics
