Eco LokiEn France, le ragondin a une très mauvaise réputation surtout à cause des nombreuses années passées à le dénigrer partout où c'est possible. <br>
On l'accuse ainsi de détruire les berges des rivières ou les barrages des étangs, de véhiculer des maladies ou de prendre la place de ses cousins castors. <br>
Pour les destructions, on "oublie" de dire que cela gène uniquement là où il y a des installations humaines (qui devraient prendre en compte les "risques naturels" mais bon). On "occulte" le fait qu'en broutant les herbes des étangs, il ralentit leur envasement. <br>
Pour les maladies, on "omet" de rappeler qu'il faut être en contact très proche avec l'animal et surtout son urine. <br>
Pour la concurrence avec les autres espèces, on "néglige" les observations de terrains qui montre le retour des loutres et des castors là où il y a déjà des ragondins. Les chasseurs sont même embêtés car ils doivent retirer les pièges qui risquent de capturer les nouveaux venus...<br>
À y regarder de plus près, on se demande si le "nuisible" en est vraiment un (je le dis tout de suite, les nuisibles ça n'existe pas)<br>

Regarding the destruction, its opponents ‘forget’ to say it only causes problems where human installations are present. Another point ‘’ignored‘’ is that by eating the grass in the ponds, the coypu slow down the silting-up process. . <br>
As for diseases, they "fail" to mention that close contact with the animal, and especially its urine, is essential. <br>
In terms of competing with other species, field observations showing that coypu, beaver and otter cohabit are ‘neglected’. Hunters are actually frustrated because they need to remove the traps that could capture the newcomers...<br>
On closer inspection, one wonders whether the ‘pest’ really is one (let me say straight away that there is no such thing as a pest).<br>
