Newfangled<p>My grandfather recently gave me his turntable. It's a Sansui FR-D35. Automatic direct drive. And a Sansui cart with a SC-50 elliptical stylus! Works perfectly, just needed a deep clean. And after testing it, I think it sounds _better_ than my Audio-Technica AT-LP120X turntable! So I'm going to try using it for a while.</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/audioGear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audioGear</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/turntable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>turntable</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/newfangled" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newfangled</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/vintage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vintage</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Sansui" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Sansui</span></a></p>
Newfangled<p>Album: Cuts Like A Knife<br>Artist: Bryan Adams<br>Released: 1983</p><p>When I think about other albums released in 1983, I think this one sounds a few years ahead of its time. It's excellent guitar-driven pop rock that occasionally flirts with a hair metal vibe without getting too "screamy". I mean, it's Bryan Adams, so it's gonna be pretty darn good. If you want to rock out 80s style without drowning in hair spray, makeup, and leather, this is one to spin.</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/rock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rock</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/newfangled" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newfangled</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/physicalMedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>physicalMedia</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/nowPlaying" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nowPlaying</span></a></p>
Newfangled<p>Album: Flying the Flag<br>Artist: Climax Blues Band<br>Released: 1980</p><p>I've been on a big Yacht Rock kick and there are some excellent examples on this album. I'm talking about rock with a healthy infusion of jazz, funk, and/or soul to create a smooth, appealing sound. It has some good straight up rock tracks, too. A great record from start to finish and fantastic album art to go with it.</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/yachtRock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>yachtRock</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/newfangled" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newfangled</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/physicalMedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>physicalMedia</span></a></p>
Newfangled<p>Format wars are pointless.</p><p>Love vinyl? Cool. CDs? Awesome. Cassettes? Wonderful. MP3s? Great!</p><p>I never let the format get in the way of the music. And I never harp on people for listening to music in whatever way they prefer.</p><p>Let the music play and let people enjoy it however they want.</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/physicalMedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>physicalMedia</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/CD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CD</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/compactDisc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>compactDisc</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/cassette" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cassette</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/newfangled" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newfangled</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/MP3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MP3</span></a></p>
