The newswire says there are believed to be almost 300,000 people in Australia living with autism.</p><p>The strategy will be implemented this month and run until 2031, AAP says, although the ABC points out “the health components of the strategy will be actioned through a separate road map, which has not yet been finalised”. The self-contradictory laments from the right of politics fervently reported in the Corporate Press are nothing but barinfarts without any logic in it at all.</p><p>"As we pointed out back at budget time, the government’s budget deficit this year looks reckless — until you realise how weak the economy might be as a result of repeated interest rate bludgeonings by the Reserve Bank. The AFR and the opposition have been trying to conjure up a narrative of Treasurer Jim Chalmers engaging in a “stoush” with the central bank over his remark that the RBA’s rate hikes were “smashing the economy”. In fact Chalmers’ description was a statement of the obvious — unless you’re engaged in a partisan act of trying to push two economic stories at once; that the government was somehow simultaneously being too stimulatory and not stimulatory enough in its fiscal settings."</p><p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/auspol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>auspol</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/economy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>economy</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/RBA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RBA</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Labor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Labor</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/LNP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LNP</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/NewsMedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewsMedia</span></a></p>
EV not Petrol<p>So today my daughter of 16 years has found out how much it is going to cost her to do an Arts degree. It is in the same bandwidth as Engineering.<br><a href="https://aus.social/tags/labor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>labor</span></a> started making kids pay for their degrees and the <a href="https://aus.social/tags/lnp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lnp</span></a> made it economically not worth it.
