Today has been an exceptionally long. It has been traumatic and incredibly emotionally exhausting.

I do not know if we will all survive this together as a family.

When I was about 9 y/o, I lay in bed one night thinking to myself, "what if I was homeless?", "what if I had no parents?", "what if I had nothing to eat... would people help me?"

We lived in a tiny Scottish village, I was naive!

I remember reassuring myself, "I'm sure they would" (but I sounded very doubtful, even to myself).
