DesertFOXI was today years old when i found out: When you format a floppy diskette through Windows 3.11's File Manager, it writes a strange kind of boot sector to the disk. File system is declared as "FAT16", instead of "FAT12" and, although it's a German version, everything's in English. I wanted multiple file names to start with the same text so I just selected them all and hit F2, not really expecting anything to happen. You can imagine my surprise, when a pretty powerful and easy to use dialogue popped up and just allowed me to do exactly what I wanted. DesertFOXStill one of the best file managers from the MS-DOS 6 era... the "MS-DOS-Shell". Luna LacteaI had a vague idea of what happened to ES File Explorer with it becoming adware & being removed from Google Play, but the issue had gone on longer than that & been worse than that. holy shit, rest in piss. I don't think anything will ever come close to the capabilities of ES File Explorer, there will never be a file manager as good, & that was all lost for quick money.
