Ocēlōtl cehuetzilizpan ❄️Over the past few months I’ve flown a lot of neat aircraft in DCS.I’m also one of the rare players who’s never purchased Flaming Cliffs outright, instead opting for picking those I like most among the collection.Of all the aircraft I fly, it’s probably no surprise that I’ve really taken to the F-16C. It’s the aircraft I feel the most at home in and find its capabilities exceptional. I’m also quite partial to the MiG-29 and Su-27/33.Among helis the AH-64D is a pleasure to fly and enjoy sneaking up on threats with Hellfires or gunning down targets with the FLIR at night.The Su-25T is an underrated bird I must say. It flies like shit but has a lot of “advanced” air-to-ground weapons you can play around with. You can also strap a ton of rocket pods under the wings to unleash an absolutely ridiculous barrage of rockets at ground targets. It’s cathartic raining down hell like that.The only aircraft I feel “meh” about purchasing is the AV-8B (Harrier), though that’s more down to a lack of experience with the bird than a dislike of it. The AJS-37 (Viggen) is another I need more experience with. I’ve just had my hands full with other aircraft.Having a lot of fun with friends. Ocēlōtl cehuetzilizpan ❄️I just wanted to share how bizarre a product my <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Winwing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Winwing</a> 16EX (ViperAce) joystick is.In order for the integrated vibration motor to function, you’re required to purchase an additional plastic module that fastens to the top left of the stick. It features a 5-way HAT and a 2-axis stick with push.The module itself contains no vibration motor. Just the chip that controls the motor inside the stick. My guess is that they couldn’t fit the chip inside the stick itself. It’s a ridiculous design.On the other hand, they’re using a cheap switch to give the trigger a “click”. Brilliant honestly.With the module attached the vibration from within the stick itself will only work when the Winwing SimAppPro software is running in the background, which includes the default (and customizable) vibration settings for aircraft of various flight sims like <a href="https://meow.social/tags/DCSWorld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DCSWorld</a>, <a href="https://meow.social/tags/BMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BMS</a>, and <a href="https://meow.social/tags/MSFS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MSFS</a>.The vibration isn’t force feedback but it does vary in how it vibrates with different aircraft in a way that’s pleasant and intuitive to the touch. This goes for all their products featuring vibration motors.Pulling high AoA in a Mirage F1? It’ll vibrate aggressively.Launching a Sparrow in an F/A-18C? It’ll give a short gentle vibration as the missile comes off the rail.Vortex Ring State setting in while hovering your Mi-24? It’ll start buffeting against your hand with increasing intensity.If you don’t care about vibration and don’t want SimAppPro running in the background, then don’t bother with the additional “shaker” module. It doesn’t “add” a whole lot.Despite the stupid design, it’s a great product. Ocēlōtl cehuetzilizpan ❄️<h1>Someone made the Liaoning</h1>In 1985, the Soviet Navy lais down what was to be the second of their new Kuznetsov-class of aircraft carrier. The vessel was originally named the Riga and later renamed the Varyag in 1990. In January 1991, the unfinished carrier was launched at the Mykolaiv shipyard in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, a now independent Ukraine left the unfinished shell sitting in Mykolaiv until China purchased it in 1998. Three years later they towed it to Dalian and modernized nearly every aspect of the ship. In 2012, the <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Liaoning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Liaoning</a> was officially commissioned by the PLAN for training purposes.
