Delta Sierra<p>Okay, here's my big project.</p><p>My partner and I built a frame, transported it into our loft in sections, and then (mostly) assembled it (I still need to add braces on the legs). We had to remove the existing railing to do this, and we'll finally be finishing the trim around the opening once this is all done.</p><p>The goal? We'll be hanging a chain hoist from the center beam and lifting this 36", 220lb CRT television into the loft! I have a spot cleaned up for it already, and all my older consoles are standing by to be connected. I will also be lowering some of the other screens back down to make some room.</p><p>I have some smaller (32") CRTs up here already, but there's just no viable way to move a TV this large up an eight foot ship's ladder with nothing but muscle power. Luckily, I'm a tool-using maned wolf, and we had some extra lumber, so here we are.</p><p>I will hopefully have more pictures tomorrow!</p><p><a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/CRT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CRT</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/television" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>television</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/retrogaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retrogaming</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/screen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>screen</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/project" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>project</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a></p>
