Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮<p>Beelink have open-sourced their Multi-Functional EX Docking Station for mini PCs <a href="https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/10/beelink-have-open-sourced-their-multi-functional-ex-docking-station-for-mini-pcs/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">gamingonlinux.com/2024/10/beel</span><span class="invisible">ink-have-open-sourced-their-multi-functional-ex-docking-station-for-mini-pcs/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PCGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PCGaming</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Beelink" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Beelink</span></a></p>
Lanie Carmelo<p>To <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/blind" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blind</span></a> users, does anyone play <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/browser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>browser</span></a> <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/games" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>games</span></a> or open multiple tabs on <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Firefox</span></a> without the browser slowing to a crawl? I was thinking about switching from <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/Edge" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Edge</span></a> to Firefox, but games that run well in Edge or other Chrome-based browsers make Firefox extremely slow, and it's the same way if I open even a few tabs. TrustNoWan<p>Man, I used to love the Raspberry Pi, until you couldn't get them anymore. </p><p>Now, I don't see the value in buying a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RaspberryPi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RaspberryPi</span></a> starter kit with 8G RAM for $169, when a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Beelink" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Beelink</span></a> Mini PC with an Intel 4 core processor, 16GB RAM, an M.2 AND a 2.5in. SSD drive bay is the same $169, works with the full sized HDMI cables I already have, and isn't much bigger in size. </p><p>People keep telling me Pis still have a purpose, but it's clearly not with home lab and project tinkerers. </p><p>And this makes me sad.</p>

jayRecently picked up this <a href="https://pixel.zerojay.com/discover/tags/Beelink?src=hash" title="#Beelink" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Beelink</a> SER4 mini PC to run my <a href="https://pixel.zerojay.com/discover/tags/arcade?src=hash" title="#arcade" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#arcade</a> machine, taking over from a much larger small form factor PC. Powered by a Ryzen 7 4800u with integrated Radeon graphics. Good enough to handle just about everything so far, even some PS3 and Switch games. It's the fastest PC I own now, which is mindblowing to me. 16GB of RAM, 500GB internal SSD. Super happy with it. <br> <br> Fast enough for almost all the <a href="https://pixel.zerojay.com/discover/tags/emulation?src=hash" title="#emulation" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#emulation</a> <a href="https://pixel.zerojay.com/discover/tags/retrogaming?src=hash" title="#retrogaming" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#retrogaming</a> I could desire. Even can play Street Fighter V.
