Bevan Thomas<p>Interestingly, the ghoul is a monster more defined by its eating habits than its species. It prowls cemeteries to devour corpses. However, depending on the story, the ghoul may be classified as undead, a demon, a djinn, a degenerate human, or a distinct humanoid species.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/WyrdWednesday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WyrdWednesday</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/LegendaryWednesday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LegendaryWednesday</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/BookChatWeekly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BookChatWeekly</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Superstitiology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Superstitiology</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/31DaysofHalloween" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>31DaysofHalloween</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/31DaysofHorror" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>31DaysofHorror</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/31DaysofHaunting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>31DaysofHaunting</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Mythology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mythology</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Folklore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Folklore</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Horror" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Horror</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Ghoul" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ghoul</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Monster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Monster</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Undead" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Undead</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Djinn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Djinn</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Demon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Demon</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Lovecraft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lovecraft</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/CthulhuMythos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CthulhuMythos</span></a></p>

She could run across Ireland in a day, catching the attention of King Concobar mac Nessa. Tasked with raising Deirdre, destined to be Concobar’s concubine, Leborcham told Deirdre about her fated lover, Noísiu. Loyal to Deirdre, the heroine warned her to leave Ireland after she and her lover had been tricked into returning from their Scottish exile, but Deirdre refused. Leborcham then tried another route: She went to Concobar and told him that her hard life in the wilderness had destroyed Deirdre’s beauty, although she remained as radiant as ever. But the king discovered the truth. After Noísiu’s death, Deirdre chose death over being Concobar’s consort.`<br>Source: P.
