Kolya's Wonderarium<p>I have some frustrations with the writing style, but Warriors of Ultramar just kinda slaps as a book. Half of it is about training PDF soldiers. The ganger plotline is great. "That" being the possibility of your fiction (or parts thereof) being used by real-life people as a blue-print? The repeated exhortations by Games Workshop that <a href="https://nerdculture.de/tags/WH40k" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WH40k</span></a> and the Imperium of Man are a *satire* of fascism and aren't actually a cool thing meant to be emulated seem to be a case in point for authors losing control of their narrative (even though the comparison is a bit weak as GW is not a single author and they make tons of money with the <a href="https://nerdculture.de/tags/SpaceMarine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SpaceMarine</span></a> games which seem to mostly gloss over the geno/xenocidal nature of the Imperium and of its servants).</p>

In the Heresy it took like 4 books for the Salamanders to find him and they were looking hard. It was awesome seeing all my guard on the table, but it does also show me how much I need to paint.</p><p>I got crushed by bugs but I held the line (with the help of some allied marines) for longer than most of my imperium allies.
