Tried out InterPrint on my IIfx today and I've got to say, it works beautifully!

macintoshgarden.org/apps/inter

This Chooser extension allows you to print to LPR queues over TCP/IP. But unlike the IP printing support in LaserWriter 8 (which "requires" Mac OS 8, though I think you can manually install it on as low as System 7.5.3), InterPrint works all the way down to System 6.0.5! It fully supports PostScript, too.

What this means for me is that after #MARCHintosh is over, I can repurpose my Raspberry Pi, which currently acts as an AppleTalk print server for my local network (and #GlobalTalk, by extension).

This was a fun quick procrasti-project. It's double-sided too (it's a blinking question mark after all)!

I don't have a multi-filament printer so I implemented a satisfying no-glue snapidy-snap system to print the distinct black and white parts (but there's also a file in there if your printer can do multi-colour!)

It can also be a luggage tag, or keychain, or just a fidget token (it's got a nice heft to it).

Accsessing my blog on Safari from a Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Pretty cool that I can accsess the internet on a now almost 20 year old os. But, I don't know what else to do with a Mac emulator?

It (kind of) works! After adding support for the /dev/macfuseX device to afpfs-ng, there is now an alternative way to mount a Netatalk AFP share on macOS, just in case Apple decides to kill of mount_afp in the future.

Only problem is afpfsd gets stuck in a deadlock sooner or later, so I need to get deeper under the hood of FUSE to figure out where things go off the rails. So be aware this is not ready for every day use yet.

My afpfs-ng fork is here github.com/rdmark/afpfs-ng
