Sheru (she/her)So the friend I had ice cream date with yesterday is also a sewist. We looked over my fabric swatches for the cloak. I spend a lot of time digging into local ecology and <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/HabitatRestoration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#HabitatRestoration</a> and preservation. I’m a <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/space" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#space</a> and aeronautics nerd, but I'm also a <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/Polyglot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Polyglot</a> with an academic background in <a href="https://flipping.rocks/tags/linguistics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#linguistics</a>, adult literacy, and ESL. The other part of my academic background is the technical side of theatre.

Sheru (she/her)So very pleased with how this bag came out. If I was ever to make it again, I would have matched the brown leather top stitching thread. I thought I'd like the contrast look, and I don't hate it, but matching hides a multitude of sins.Still, this piece is a beautiful bag that is going to last me a long time.Harris Tweed (did you know it's a protected fabric, like champagne?) and leather. Sheru (she/her)Rain has made the light terrible til now, but I spent all of yesterday afternoon sewing and made my son a Dopp kit for all of the testosterone shot stuff.There's a lot of stuff and I wanted them to have a nice way to lug it around. I ordered some small sharps shuttles too so they can keep one in there.It's been so nice getting back sewing again.
