Which character has the worst luck?In "My Girlfriend Almost Got Me Killed" that would be Kaori. All previous to the story. She is convinced she is cursed.In "For Love of a Konbini Idol," Shishi has the worst luck. Being actually cursed is pretty bad luck. Like Kaori most of the bad luck is in the past. Lies in WIPNo, I play it pretty straight. Sometimes characters misunderstand things (1st POV). Someday I would like to play with a truly unreliable narrator.Other times with altered states, I don’t say this isn’t consensual reality. Hopefully, it creeps up on the reader. For the characters experiencing it, things seem normal and that things are as they should be. It’s always a balance between portraying the characters actual experience and allowing for the reader's consensual understanding, i.e. don’t confuse them too much.<a href="https://sakurajima.moe/tags/NMFI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NMFI</a>

Do your characters believe in luck or fate?In my first and second novel series, the characters definitely believed in fate and it played a big role in the second novel. It really hasn’t come up in my WIP progress, but there are prophecies which are kind of like fate and they believe in them because they work. The action arc of vol. 3 is changing an unbreak able prophecy.
