SturmflutI've been using <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Flare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Flare</a> on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/LinuxMobile" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LinuxMobile</a> as my main <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Signal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Signal</a> client for a few weeks and can't recommend it to anyone looking for something just half-way stable.It cannot act as a primary device and therefore not standalone. It continuously loses its connection to the servers. Sometimes it can't seem to open its database and defaults to re-linking without any error message. The UI likes to freeze. It definitely shouldn't be mentioned as a potential replacement for Signal's Android/iOS clients.

If AOSP development is made less publicly accessible it does NOT " simplify things for developers" but rather it hinders it for de-googled privacy respecting ROMs and their device ports. Adam HonseI'm impressed with the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GNOME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GNOME</a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Snapshot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Snapshot</a> app. Built in QR code scanner is fast and detected even blurry codes. The stock <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/OnePlus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OnePlus</a> 6/6T camera app on Android doesn't scan codes at all. This was a big lacking area in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/LinuxMobile" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LinuxMobile</a> as QR codes are everywhere and everyone expects you to be able to scan them but <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/postmarketOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#postmarketOS</a> was unable to do so until the recent camera bringup, at least for the OnePlus 6T.

Jeff Fortin T.I'd want Nautilus (and thus the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GNOME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GNOME</a> file picker UI) to stop trying to search multiple times per second while I am not nearly done typing the search query, as I consider that to be extremely wasteful, conceptually. Pounding the CPU+GPU "faster than I can think & type" is counterproductive.
