Elizabeth Tai | 戴秀铃 🇲🇾<p>I love spending mornings in the nearby town centre. I just putter around, have coffee at cafes, buy food for the day or visit the market. Usually I would walk to the town centre but today I forsee a late walk back and don't want to roast on the walk back home. So I drove halfway. </p><p>The food at the market is so much cheaper than the supermarket's! I mean, I have always known this but today I found out just how much.<br>For example, 15 eggs is RM6.90, while the same amount could be about RM9 (correction, it's RM11.50!) or more at the supermarket. Around 180g of minced pork is about RM10 but in the market, 500g of pork is about RM12.</p><p>I love markets. Sure, Malaysian markets are not as fancy as the ones in Australia, but it can't be beat for liveliness, variety and prices.</p><p><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Market" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Market</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Malaysia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Malaysia</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/KualaLumpur" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KualaLumpur</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/SubangJaya" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SubangJaya</span></a></p>
