ReynardSec🚨 META Takes Down Polish CERT Post Highlighting Scams on Social Media In response to increasing reports about restricted visibility of posts linking to CERT Polska’s analysis of scams on social platforms, we must stand firm against such actions. The detailed report shows how scammers exploit social media to deceive Polish citizens, with platforms turning a blind eye to the issue. CERT Polska is actively working with other CSIRTs to alert platform owners about these threats, including the dangerous tools criminals use to perpetrate their scams. Recently, CERT Polska published a comprehensive analysis, but within hours of sharing the link on Facebook, the post was taken down. This is part of a disturbing trend where even media outlets that highlight CERT Polska’s findings face similar challenges. As Marcin Dudek, head of CERT Polska, emphasizes: "Poles trust these platforms, and we expect platform administrators to uphold that trust. Proactive moderation is crucial to prevent harmful content from reaching users."
