Stealthy<p>Hey guys, at some point I'm gonna have to replace my phone, it's not gonna happen yet, but Samsung is eventually going to drop security updates.<br>So I decided to <a href="https://dragonscave.space/tags/AskFedi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AskFedi</span></a> and any <a href="https://dragonscave.space/tags/android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>android</span></a> people, what phone do you recommend from a security/privacy perspective?<br>I don't want to buy a phone and throw it out every few years because of security updates and other updates no longer being supported, so I want a phone that has plenty of rom's for it and that will get support for a long, long time.<br>It must work in some way with google services, as a blind person I *have to* use google maps for independence reasons. That also means that I will in some way need access to the google play store, but I heard that micro g exists.<br>I'm looking for a company who allows bootloader unlocking, and where it is also possible to lock down the bootloader again. Unlocking it should not break any functionality on said phone.<br>So now that I've rambled, what phone should I pick?
