honestly given everything that has happened (and now that my friend is receiving harassment from literal kiwifarms) i am genuinely disappointed in the furry fandom as a whole. because this story became known but barely anybody does anything about this. white abled cis middle class furries are, as always, silent and inert

To clear up some confusion: I was NOT the Guest of Honour. At this current moment I have NEVER been a GOH for any convention! It was just a fun little easter egg of my fursona.

Miaow! I had a great time at Furnal Equinox. It wasn't my first time at a convention, but it WAS my first time going to a con alone, and I had a lot of nice interactions with the people I did talk to. :3

Last night, we went to the safety office at Furnal Equinox to deal with a safety issue and discovered a pile of stickers on their table. Our stickers that we were giving out on the free sticker tables at the con.
I was confused, so I asked "Why are our stickers here?" and the guys there said they needed to call their supervisor, it was a serious issue. They thought they were, and he whispered it, "antifa"

additional development of the story: they also told me that the con director tried to confiscate their mobility aid because it had one of the antifa patches on it. and also broke their partner's glasses that are worth around $98.
i encourage you to spread the word about this.
the fact that it's a furry convention that does such fascist shit in 2025 is fucked up.

The #FurnalEquinox #Inflatable Panel went off mostly okay, but being crowded during setup and not being able to control crowds at the start took a toll on me. It was fun though.
Thanks to all of the toysitters who brought inflatables and helped out.
Lessons learned:
Going forward I’m only bringing three large toys to panels…
The megaphone is more trouble than it’s worth, AV is good at providing a less cumbersome mike…
I need to not snap at people when I’m overwhelmed. Honestly I don’t want to run panels sometimes but who else would, you know?

Let's be clear what's going on here: FE has a political officer who's job is to enforce fascist party discipline by robbing attendees who aren't in alignment with party orthodoxy. The board members responsible should be in jail because they've committed a violent crime.

is there any kind of furry or adjacent press that i can talk to about this to spread the word?
furnal equinox are making a big mistake. they're openly deciding to cozy up to fascism at this point
