Our 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric just passed 200,000km this week! I got a snap of the odometer at palindrome 199991 which was satisfying. But a sudden snow storm/hail storm prevented me from capturing 200k and 200002 officially, but that's ok.I just made its *first* appointment to have its brake pads replaced. Amazing longevity on these EVs for brakes. I really should have done it about 10k ago but still.Great car. Age is starting to catch up a bit. It needs the EV battery coolant flushed/replaced this year, and some small stuff is wearing: The passenger side seat heater is on the fritz, and one of the door lock mechanisms is extra loud. Greg Harvey 🌍Huh, I just decided to fact-check an ad for the Citroën Ami that claimed it would make life cheaper. Obviously this depends on parking options at your destination, but looking at London, a zones 1-4 annual travel card is currently £2,568. You can lease, insure and charge the Ami (I even included a set of tyres) for about £5,000 over three years. In short, the ad is right, running an Ami is almost certainly cheaper than public transport in London.
