Lars Marowsky-Brée 😷<p>I've been using Linux exclusively since 1994. I work for a Linux distributor since a quarter century.</p><p>I can't figure out why Chrome doesn't see my external web cam anymore (it used to!), only the "internal" (both USB). No error messages.</p><p>My colleagues also didn't spot an obvious culprit.</p><p>We've succeeded: Linux can finally replace the Windows desktop experience.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Chrome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Chrome</span></a></p>

You should land on the "Third-party sign-in" Settings page.</p><p>On that page, there'll be two radio buttons: "Sites can show sign-in prompts from identity services", and "Block sign-in prompts from identity services". Set it to the second one, and you should find that the problematic dialogs are no longer present.</p><p><a href="https://dragonscave.space/tags/accessibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>accessibility</span></a> <a href="https://dragonscave.space/tags/screenReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>screenReader</span></a></p>
