AnneA friend of mine was at the rally at the BC Legislature today in Victoria. “Elbows up and arms extended to our American friends” was the message. I made this photo quite a long time ago and was experimenting with shutter speeds. The slows shutter speed won in that contest. I have many dogs. They’re all small, one so small she only has three legs. She was injured before we got her out of the Texas rescue system. My main “hobby” is <a href="https://cosocial.ca/tags/motorcycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#motorcycling</a>. I currently have a Vulcan Nomad 1700. I have worked remotely from my house for almost a decade. The life balance can’t be beat.

BenWestern Skunk Cabbage (Lysichiton americanus), emerging from a small stream. Dave the Nomad 🇨🇦I'm really loving it here in Burnaby. It's been cloudy and rainy almost every day, but the temperatures are fairly mild, and the rain is light enough that it's not bothersome to be outside in it.The Central Valley Greenway - a hiking and biking path that follows the Brunette river - is literally right at my doorstep. Took the dogs for a half hour walk along the river this morning.I've been taking it fairly easy the last couple of days. Still kinda tired, but slowly recovering from the drive.Not sure what I'll get up to this weekend. I've got some chores to catch up on, but I might take the pups for a drive to higher altitudes to find some snow.Beau, my GSD, hasn't seen snow in years, since we started RVing. Jake in the desertThis week's <a href="https://c.im/tags/ThursDeath" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ThursDeath</a> is the excellent first demo from Canadian death metal duo WET ROT from Squamish, British Columbia. This 4 song demo entitled 'Fetid Pus' (gross, right?) from 2024 chugs and rips and wails - some great sounding old school type stuff here with excellent dynamics.
