There should be a law against this.

Your average user is going to think something is terribly wrong with their computer just because they didn't sign over their rights to Microsoft.

EDIT: added button descriptions to the alt text, sorry for leaving those out when I posted this last night.

A Windows "Let's finish setting up your PC" prompt which takes up the entire screen and says "Your PC needs to be backed up and connected to a few more Microsoft services to help you work more easily and securely across all of your devices", then lists a bunch of their cloud services. At the bottom are two buttons "Remind me in 3 days" and "Continue".

I'm trying to imagine how this would work with other machines.

@th @vkc The nerds (mostly) didn't do this voluntarily, the owner class forced the nerds to do this. There will always be weird techbros hopped up on anarcholibertarian bath salts, but most of the nerds haaaaate this stuff.
