Yesterday was the Postal Worker Union's National Day of Action, and I attended a protest myself. I now have an APWU "Hands off our public postal service!" sign to take to Tesla Takedown protests.

Vivaldi 7.2 is out

Added some longstanding requests to the mail client in Vivaldi.

To add a Task, Invite, or Event to your Calendar just
1. Right click
- inside a mail,
- on a message in the mail list
- or highlight some text on a webpage
2. Click Add to Calendar

And you'll get a direct link to the message or webpage within the event.
It also automatically adds participants from the email for the invite.

Another thing (one of the top requests)
Reorder accounts in the mail panel is available in the settings using the arrows at the bottom of the list there :)

I looked into it some time ago, but I couldn't find anything easy or effective...

the thing about writing a letter in current_year is that if I had anything urgent or important to say, I would call or text or email it! so I'll never have something "big" to write in a letter!

it's okay for snail mail to be "I ate a nice omelette this morning" or "thank you for the call on tuesday" or whatever. most letters aren't vital war communications! they're a way to say "I love and care about you, here is some physical evidence to remind you of that fact."

and once you've written a letter, then you can include fun nurnies with it like stickers and trading cards. I should make a nurny album...

Since I'm currently reading #RunYourOwnMailServer #RYOMS, the part about #DKIM reminded me about something I heard some time ago, and I managed to find it again. Concept somewhat similar to what #OTR does.

#Fedi, looking for people with experience in #accessible software.

I have a friend with serious vision issues. Not blind, but can't easily read text that isn't 6+ inches high, and his vision is degrading. He is looking for a way to deal with email -- he's a writer -- because he says Gmail is now a nightmare to use even with a screen reader.

Preferred solution would be a mail program / #MUA that runs on Windows and supports #OAUTH authentication, so he can continue to use his Gmail address.

What's the MUA with the best #accessibility on Windows? Thunderbird brags about its support for screen readers and assistive technologies, so I had him try it, and he says it's almost as bad as Gmail - flashing colours, animating controls. I haven't personally touched Thunderbird in many years, so it was a surprise to me.

I use a text/console mail flow that relies on a local MTA, so nothing I use is of any use in this.
